The Story of Reverse Distribution Services
Moving quickly without compromise for Chemical Waste Management’s Reverse Distribution Services Division.
A division of Chemical Waste Management, Reverse Distribution Services (RDS) was established to address the growing need for specialized pharmaceutical return services, including manufacturer returns and witnessed destruction of controlled substances through Waste Management's regulated disposal programs.
As RDS prepared for its market launch, division leadership engaged our team to rapidly develop a comprehensive suite of marketing and communications tools. The scope included brand development, sales collateral, promotional videos, trade show exhibits, and supporting communications materials designed to position the new division as a trusted resource in a highly regulated industry.
Meeting an aggressive timeline required a focused and disciplined approach. Extensive interviews were conducted with national pharmacy chains, hospital systems, and group purchasing organizations to better understand stakeholder priorities, operational challenges, and decision-making criteria. Regulatory requirements governing pharmaceutical returns and controlled-substance disposal were also carefully reviewed to ensure all communications reflected a thorough understanding of compliance concerns and industry best practices.
Through close collaboration with division leadership and an accelerated design and production schedule, critical launch materials were developed and delivered in time for a series of key industry events and promotional opportunities. The result was a successful market introduction supported by professional, technically accurate, and strategically targeted communications.
Throughout the engagement, project objectives were consistently achieved while meeting—or, in many cases, improving on—budget and schedule expectations, helping to position RDS for continued growth in a specialized and rapidly evolving healthcare services marketplace.
